Hi!
I'm trying to configure an entity form to display specific views for different relationships on the same entity.
So here is the scenario:
The "phonecall" entity has to relationships to the "contact" enity:
So in the contact FormXML I get:
(Notice the "ViewId" attributes I already added with the IDs of the two custom views I want to use)
...
<NavBarByRelationshipItem RelationshipName="t4_contact_phonecall_relation1" Sequence="10000" Area="Info" Id="nav_t4_contact_phonecall_relation1" ViewId="AD80FD2D-D142-E211-8ADF-000C29A995B4">
<Titles>
<Title LCID="1031" Text="Relation 1" />
</Titles>
</NavBarByRelationshipItem>
<NavBarByRelationshipItem RelationshipName="t4_contact_phonecall_relation2" Sequence="10000" Area="Info" Id="nav_t4_contact_phonecall_relation2" ViewId="52D0D322-D142-E211-8ADF-000C29A995B4">
<Titles>
<Title LCID="1031" Text="Relation 2" />
</Titles>
</NavBarByRelationshipItem>
...
When I import the solution like this, all seems fine (no errors or warnings).
But when I open a contact form and click on the navigation items, they still use the generic "Associated Phonecalls" view.
Here is the offical documentation of the NavBarByRelationshipItem:
NavBarByRelationshipItem
Any help/ideas on this?
Thanks!

Hi all,
I'm struggling now for few days I cannot make Dynamics CRM 2013 internet-facing deployment to work with ADFS 3.0 on Windows 2012 R2. CRM is installed on Windows 2008 R2, upgraded from CRM2011. There were no custom deployed code. ADFS is running on fresh Windows 2012 R2. Had no issues with ADFS 2.0.

Hi All,
On a CRM 2013 form I have a locked field on the form, yet, there are no properties for that field (see screenshot).
This is on an upgraded 2011 form and it's the second time I have seen this. There appears to be no way to change the attributes or remove this field from the form.
The section originally also had no label. When I checked the properties of that section, it too was locked and had no lable. I had to add the label in order to close the editor.
Has anyone else seen this? Any idea how to resolve the problem?
With the recent upgrade of CRM 2013 when I open an opportunity both from within Outlook or directly through IE online my view does not include a general area that shows probability. It may be missing other entities as well. That section shows up for other users with identical permissions at our location. When I close the opportunity from within Outlook I get a scripting error. Any suggestions?
What does that mean, "Data loss"? Is it immediate? What exactly will be lost? We have 37 total licenses, with all of them used. We need to free up a license to add a new user. We need to be able to do that without losing data.
Is there anyway to import appointments to CRM Online?
I have an old set of calendar appointments from a predecessor - I was not a resource on these appointments so cannot simply click Track for them to sync to CRM Online.
Thanks
I have a customer who is concerned that the latest version of IE that they are using is not compatible with CRM 4.0 as I believe that only works with IE 6,7,8 and 9 and does not work correctly with IE 10 or 11.
I presume their only options are to:
1, Stay on a IE version which is compatible with CRM 4.0
2, Upgrade CRM to 2011 then 2013 which I will be discussing with them considering their existing environment and work that may involve.
Does anyone have any alternative suggestions they could consider as a workaround?
Thanks.
I'm having the same issue a lot of people seem to be suffering trying to make CRM 2011 for Outlook 365 work. I get the "There is a problem communicating with the Microsoft Dynamics CRM server. The server might be unavailable....."
I have tried all of the solutions I can find on here including :
Uninstall / reinstall CRM for Outlook
Repair Outlook
Uninstall / reinstall Windows Live ID Assistant (v6.5)
I've worked my way through the on-line troubleshooting wizard and NOTHING works!
The configuration window that pops up in Outlook seems to show my login as correctly authenticated and it correctly identifies my organisation when I select "Test Connection" but when I then choose OK I get the error I stated above.
What's most annoying is that this worked perfectly until about three weeks ago. Office 365 status reports were then showing a degraded service for CRM and since then it hasn't worked. I've also tried installing it on a different machine wirth teh same results.
I'm at the end of my tether as I can't roll this out in my organisation until I know it is reliable - at the moment its a damn nightmare!
I'm unable to install the CRM 2013 Outlook Client. It failed to install and is now rerunning the installation assumes it's an upgrade. Can someone decipher the setup log and offer some guidance?

Hi,
I'm looking for an easy way to export the contacts and accounts I have on my QA environment and then import them into my Production anvironment. There there any fast and easy way to do it without importing/exporting?
I tried with the Advanced search importing on a separate xml file the Accounts and Contacts. I imported all the available columns for both.
As my accounts can have the same name (but different account number) I linked the contacts to the account number instead of the account name on the import mapping.
But when I import the exported files I can't do the mapping (I don't have anymore the option to select "Account number" on the import mapping).
Thanks a lot for your help,
Noé
We are using MS Dynamics 2011 for outlook. We are on ru 11.2. I have one user that when he opens a contact record then clicks on an activity, the activity opens minimized. I tried him using CRM on the web with the same result. Does anyone have a fix for this?
I really like to add a link to Common area to show all Emails (closed or not). Also each email indicates if it has attachment, when selected, preview the content below.
Possible?
Now just too many steps to get all.
Is it possible to run a workflow or a report to pull records where a condition on all related records is met? For example, say I wanted to pull only Opportunties where all of the related Activities are still Open.
Hi,
Business Process Flow allows moving to next stage by clicking 'Next Stage' button. We want it be done automatically.
For Example: Last step in Stage A is "Identify Estimated Revenue". When user marks this filed as complete, the stage should be automatically changed to Stage B (i.e. without user's clicking on Next Stage).
Please advise how this can be accomplished. Please also suggest any related blogs, posts or videos.
We are using CRM Online Fall '13.
Thanks in advance.
Hi, I have an APPOINTMENT entity where users can add notes and once done they can then choose share function and share with a specific team who then receives a notification of new notes.
The problem I have is that the system allows users to ONLY select one team to share it with. Is there a way to allow a user to share it with multiple teams? I been researching with no luck...... Any info would be much appreciated!
thanks so much!
Hi -
With the new phone type, is there an option to turn off "click-to-call"? I tried disabling the skype add-in and the field still contained the hyper-link which contains a call to Skype.
We are in the process of upgrading to 2013 CRM. We currently have a 2011 CRM reporting extension installed on our report server. When trying to execute 2013 reporting extension installation, a prompt to uninstall 2011 reporting extension pops up. Short of getting a new report server, are there any suggestions?
We just upgraded Dev environment to CRM 2013 On Prem. I need to create SSRS report for Case entity. I have VS 2010. What version of SQL Server I need to get Business Intelligence Development Studio to create the custom reports?
