Hi, I'm flabbergasted by this way of working.
Partners were not informed about this email blast.
Partners did not had the opportunity to participate in Beta releases
Customers are able to join preview releases directly.
Strange way of working with the channel.

I am trying to update value of codename field on Campaign entity but it wont let me do. In C# code if I debug, I can see it goes through without any error and saves everything (i.e. name etc.) else except codename value.
On CRM form it is read only field and if I try to amend it and change value from 12345 to 12345678 for example it does not save.
Any idea what might be preventing it? When I create a new record I can add any value I like.
Need sample questions with answers for best practice. Guidance on how to prepare well is most welcomed.
Dear Folks,
I made changes for the out of box button on the ribbon to visible only for system administrator. It is only working on one form of the contact entity, but we have other form where these changes are not reflected. Is there any known bug or am I missing something there? any thoughts?

The default install is for online instances. Can we install this solution to premise too?
I have requirement, where there is a "custom entity" that triggers task based on the users stage on the Business Process Flow or data input on the record. I'll like to incorporate a holiday schedule; where if the due date is a holiday, it should skip to the next business day.
For Example:
John has Task "To Update Record" based on the response from the user, in the custom entity. The task due date is on January 1, which is a public holiday. I'll like the due date to skip to the next business day.
I know this can be achieved in the Service Management Module in Settings, but I'm not sure if you can set up the holiday schedule on the Service Management to a custom entity? If not, how can this be achieved?
Thank you in advance...
I am running 2013 and would like to know how to make a multi-series chart that is only on one axis.
Good Day,
We're seeing several users have an issue using CRM 2015 Online (latest build but 2016 is not yet available to us) with Mac OS X El Capitan and Safari 9.0 where users are intermittently unable to click into and edit the body of an e-mail or insert a template.
The Social Pane on various forms also appears to be cut off at the length of the shortest section on the form (or at least can't be extended past 12 lines regardless of "auto expand to use avail space" setting.
Both occur using the new or legacy form rendering engine.
I've not been able to find either of these issues in a known issues list or a bug fix list for CRM 2016. Has anyone else seen this or have additional insight?
Thank-you!
Hello,
This is for CRM 2016. One of our customer is going to use server side sync for outgoing as well as incoming e-mails for all of their CRM users. They do not want to use Forward mailbox due to security concerns since all e-mails will be flowing through that one mailbox and IT has the password for that forwarding mailbox. They also have 60 days password expiring policy in place. There are 250 users using the system.
Is there a way to update user passwords in CRM using a script or a third party add-in once the password is changed in AD after every 60 days?
Is there any way around this besides forward mailbox. If not, what would be the most secure scenario to implement forward mailbox?
Thanks.
Hi All,
For Opportunity Entity I have enabled SharePoint Out of the Box integration so the user can upload attachments for the opportunities. Last month the customer added a requirement related to SharePoint, basically is to send an email when a user adds a Attachment to the Opportunity(through SharePoint).
My original idea was to create a plugin on Retrieve and Update of Opportunity, so the plugin will count the total of documents when the record is Retrieved/updated and will check if there's a difference in the total of attachments(If TotalDocuments_at_Update > TotalDocuments_at_Retrieve then trigger workflow). After some investigation I was able to retrieve the total of documents for an specific opportunity folder in the SharePoint server using Plugin/Web services, the problem started when I noticed that when a user adds an attachment there's no Update process for the opportunity, this means that if the user close the browser or just don't update anything in the opportunity the plugin on update will not be triggered and hence the validation that checks if there's a difference will not be triggered either.
My question at this point is: if there's a way to intercept or catch the process of uploading an attachment to SharePoint? Maybe through a function of JavaScript or something. I remember that the SharePoint window that appears when you click on Documents in the Ribbon bar is an iFrame with source pointing to the SharePoint server, but I tried to get that HTML and I could't.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance!
I have a CRM user which is getting the following error: "The system could not log you on. This could be because your user record or the business unit you belong to has been disabled in Microsoft Dynamics CRM. {1}{0}"
This user left the company and then was rehired. When the user left, the user was deactivated in CRM and AD. When the user was brought back on, a new AD account was created for the user using the same user name as her old account. This results in having an inactivated account and an active account using the same NTID.
In similar circumstances, the CRM user with a duplicate username will get a 404 error and changing the current CRM account's username to a test account, saving, and then back to the correct username associates the CRM account with the correct AD account fixes the issue.
In this case, the user is getting "The system could not log you on. This could be because your user record or the business unit you belong to has been disabled in Microsoft Dynamics CRM. {1}{0}" and my fix listed above does not work.
I would delete the old CRM account but that is not a supported fix.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
I'm quite pleased to hear that EMEA will able to enjoy FST. Can you please confirm the EMEA Launch date? Second what are the recommandations when testing FST on CRM Online Dev or prod instance?
When adding a Quick View section to a form all of the fields are Read Only. However, there is no distinguisher that shows these fields are Read Only. I would like to add the lock icon to the fields. Is there a mechanism through Java Script that I could add this lock icon to a particular field.
If not any suggestions on how to make it clear that the fields on the Quick View section are Read Only.
Our server died so i rebuilt CRM 2013 and SharePoint 2010 from the mdf/ldf SQL files. I have everything running pretty well. I have installed the CRM list component and the integration is working as long as the folder exists in SharePoint. If the folder doesn't exist CRM will just spin forever. This happens even on the "Document Management Settings" wizard.
I am getting these errors on CRM:

We use to-do's in CRM to assign work. We want to create them from input data in excel, so we dont have to always create them manually. Anyone know how to do this in excel?
We tried creating a task in outlook, but that is not the same thing as a to-do once inside CRM.
Hello,
I am on CRM Onprem 7.0.1.129.
I am unable to use any of the option set fields in my Business Rules. I do not know why any options are not working in the "if" statement of a business rule.
For some reason all of the two option sets work in the "if" statement. Also, I am able to use the option set properly under the "action" portion of the rule.
Any thoughts?
As a core CRM developer,I hate to implement .Net concepts in CRM.I consider that CRM cannot be considered as a .Net application. Its far ahead than .Net.One such concept of .Net is Continuous integration(deploying build daily to Test environment). As a CRM developer,I don't see any importance of CI in CRM as CRM solution deployment is straight forward using solution, but I'm always open for good suggestions. What does our CRM Experts think?
Note:I'm looking for CRM Expert advice and not .Net Expert advice.Personally for me CRM is different and more powerful.
Is there a way to create a custom api that can publish data to a Plugin registered on the server side? Ideally this would be something that I can talk to via javascript on the client.
I am aware of the Azure integration, but from my understanding it only works with CRM data. I would like to be able to send custom data that is not just entity data.
Essentially I want to get as close as I can to writing code server side that handles a http request.
I am on a Online instance.
Hello All!
When using the Dynamics CRM mobile app I have noticed that it does not have the "Contacts" page/tab. Is it possible to add a Contacts page so that you can look up your active contacts... if so how would I get ti added?
Thank you for your help!
