Hello - I tried to hide a CRM ribbon button but for some reason, I was not able to make it hide. First I tried Ribbon Workbench. The hide button configuration seemed easy enough. Just right-click on the ribbon button and select "Hide." This displayed a red line throught the button, and then I clicked the Publish button to publish.
I closed all of my browsers and opened an incident, but the button still displayed on the ribbon. I restarted the server, thinking something might be cached, but the button still displayed on the ribbon.
Then I opened up the ribbon through a different tool, Ribbon Editor, and the button did not display on the ribbon. However, I reopened an incident in the browser, and the ribbon button still displayed on the ribbon.
I finally ended up deleting the button from the ribbon through RWB, and republishing, and the button no longer displayed on the ribbon.
Have you ever encountered this behavior when trying to hide a button on the ribbon? If so then what steps did you take to get the ribbon button to hide?
