We have a client looking to deploy Dynamics CRM Online and they would like to use ADFS (with Office 365 / DirSync). They are using Exchange (on-premise) and have a question about authentication when using the Dynamics for Outlook client.
1. If they have ADFS deployed, will they be prompted for credentials when starting up Outlook.
2. If they are prompted, is there a 'Save Password' tick box somewhere that will prevent them from having to enter the credentials every time?
I have no experience of using CRM Online but I have done Office 365 (Exchange Online) and Outlook does prompt for credentials (even when using ADFS) although the password can be saved as mentioned. This authentication behaviour (and general UX) element is quite important for our client so thought I'd check to see if anyone has seen this 'in the flesh'?
