Hello,
Any help with this problem would be greatly appreciated and thank you in advance.
Hardware
- Dell Latitude's some 64bit some 32bit
- CRM Server = Microsoft 2008 Server Standard (64bit)
Software
- CRM 2011 Rollup Pack 13
- CRM Client for Outlook version 5.0.9690.1992
- Outlook 2010 and Outlook 2013 (both 32bit) (Issue happens more on 2013)
Issue
- This started happening about a month back and has been driving me, once CRM client was installed and the Add-ins both active in Outlook, Outlook would freeze up and run extremely slow. We would get a pop up at the bottom of the screen that said "Outlook is trying to retrieve data from the Microsoft Exchange Server (Exchange Server).
Troubleshooting
- This issue happens now on almost every machine with 2013 Outlook on it. I have narrowed down that the issue has to do with the Outlook add-ins for CRM because when I disable the 2 of them, everything returns to running normal but when I enable them everything comes to grinding halt and I get the above referenced popup message at the bottom right of the screen. I was hoping installing the client rollup pack 14 would help but sadly it did nothing. I would have renamed the OST and have it recreate it but alot of these issues are with new installs, so I am not sure what the point is of recreating a OST that was just created.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
