How to get a plugin working on import of Opportunity Products

I have a plugin that works on change or create of opportunity products doing the regular summing up of certain fields and saving that in the parent record,I tired adding a step on import and i get the error message the primary or secondary entity name is incorrect ,how can I get a plugin that works on import of opportunity products or a custom workflow
