I'm wondering what people are doing to configure seamless document management in on premise CRM 2013 environments configured with IFD. I have configured SharePoint to use ADFS a few times, and usually the security token will work seamlessly across both CRM and SharePoint, but I have one environment where it only goes one way. If the user opens SharePoint first (logging onto ADFS), then opens CRM, single sign on is achieved - CRM just opens and the user is not prompted to logon. However, if the user logs into CRM, then tries to access SharePoint, the user is prompted to log in again. While I have seen many tech articles and blogs, on configuring either CRM or SharePoint for ADFS individually, I have never seen anything that configuring both in one article, i.e. how to configure ADFS for both CRM and SharePoint with single sign on.
Has anyone come across good information on this? What versions of ADFS are most reliable? I've never had a problem with ADFS 2.0, 2.1 has bugs but I was eventually able to get it working, and the only ADFS 3.0 environment I have configured has the issue with single sign on that I described above.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
