Dynamic CRM 2016 server error install

Hi,

i'm try install the Dynamic CRM 2016 workgroup server and appear the following error.

The IIS compression role is install and enable.

I try install again and appear the same error.

Hello,

Can I Integrate CRM 365 9.0 On_premise( IFD) ADFS 3.0/40 integrate with Azure AD? 

Scenario:

we have a Dynamics 365 CE 9.0 version On-Premise IFD mode, using ADFS 3.0 at Production. Using OAuth for CRM 365 WEB API. Here I have a question.

Can I integrate with Azure AD without the impact of CRM 365 WEB API?

Regarding Asynchronous Workflow execution owner issue

Hi,

We have a workflow created with the name of one of the Admin wherein the background workflow run on custom status field change. The scope of the workflow is Organization and it starts when a record field changes.

The issue is whenever the status filed changes the it shows the modified by filed with Admin even when the status is changed by another user. The workflow scope is Organization and the current user has permissions in their role the workflow will execute as the current user but this does not seem to be happening.

Is there anything that we can do to change the modified by field whenever the workflow get triggered with the user who logged in or who made changes instead of owner of the workflow Admin. Any information on this will help. Thanks.

Custom fields of the entity is not visible in the plugin

Hello All,

We have added a couple of custom of fields to the contact entity and added them to the form.
The new fields work fine. But when we try to get hold of the entity in the plugin presave using the generic Entity object, 

Entity entity = (Entity)context.InputParameters["Target"];

we cant find the custom fields as a part of the entity object.
Should we typecast the generic entity to "contact" using a proxy class that's generated with  "CrmSvcUtil"?

Microsoft Portal configuration on dynamics 365 onpremise

I m trying to install Microsoft portal version 8.3 on Dynamics 365 onpremise version 8.2. I tried to follow Microsoft  document to install the required solutions through power shell command . This causes issues during the installation process and i m not able to install all the required components for the portal configuration. I tried to install manually through the application but this takes a lot of time and the application hangs and crashes. Can someone please suggest how to proceed further on this?

Im trying to find out if Dynamics CRM 2011 is compatible with SQL Server 2017 running in 2008 R2 compatibility mode

we are looking to upgrade our existing SQL 2008 R2 instance and would rather move to 2017 rather than SQL 2012 if possible. Im trying to find out if Dynamics CRM 2011 is compatible with SQL Server 2017 running in 2008 R2 compatibility mode.

I've had a look at the 'Compatibility with Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011' and the most recent version of SQL it contains is 2014.  can someone help this ?

Uninstalling Attachment Management Solution

I have installed successfully the Attachment Management solution in Dynamics CRM Online by using Azure Blob Storage. It works very well, now I would like to understand how to uninstall it and get things back to normal?

I am sure someone else has come across this, isn't it?

What are the consequences of having many custom entities in Dynamics 365 on-premise ? Should we implement our solutions with as few entities as we can or not ?

For example: I can implement two functionalities in one entity and also I can implement them in two separate entities. What's  the accurate solution for adding custom entities ? thanks.

I have installed D365 9.0 on-premise on my hyper-V machines and I am configuring claims-based auth and IFD, I have used AD CA to request a domain wildcard certificate, after configuration of claims-based auth. I had also try another certificate with the lasted web server template (V4, Win server 2016) but still have the same error.

I had tried to find a free wildcard certificate from internet but it seems difficult for an internal domain name.

one more condition here is that when meeting gets automatically tracked then it should be tracked to the crm account as well as regarding item.

Best Practice Analyzer issue after upgrading USD

Hello,

I am looking to get some assistance with Best Practice Analyzer setup inside Unified Service Desk (USD). I have noticed that this BPA installation comes as a part of USD 4.0 installer/deployer tool.

In my case please note that I am upgrading the USD from 2.x to 4.0 and I have found that the BPA related Assembly files are already there in the final upgraded USD setup. I am also able to use the same to configure BPA as a toolbar menu (+Action Call) just fine. I could also run it to generate the report.

The main question that I have is >>> Do I still need to worry about installing the BPA as a separate package (using the option that appears in USD 4.0 installer) or above auto-inclusion of BPA using the upgrade path to USD 4.0 is just sufficient.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, AR

Unified Service Desk "Back" issue with Agent Script

Hello,
I am after some help the USD setup where the “Go Back” Action call used in the agent script is not working any more after upgrade USD
to one of the lastest version.
Details:

There is an Agent Script which calls another agent script to form two levels of navigation between them and the attached session
starts based on the Email activity.
When I click on first Agent Script it switches to second script and keeps the second Agent Script drop down selected at the top. The
second script has few action calls (e.g. Search Contact etc.) including one for "GoBack" where its settings are >> HostControl =
Agent Scripting and Action = "Back".

At this stage if I click on "Go Back" (an action call which is created using USD's standard "Back" action) then its making the Call
Script drop down empty instead of going a go back operation to take me to the previous Agent script.

Please note that this has worked for me earlier in my USD 2.2 setup but after upgrade to 3.3+ version of USD I am getting the above
behaviour of Agent Scrip drop down becoming empty.

Can I get some help here? Thanks, AR

Problem with CRM for outlook

Hi everyone, i have the following problem... hope anybody can help me.

i have CRM 2015 and Outlook 2016. i installed Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2015 for Microsoft Office Outlook.

when I enter the CRM address http://server:5555, i got the following error

Error connecting to URL: {0} Exception: {1}| server/.../Organization.svc, System.InvalidOperationException: Metadata contains a reference that cannot be resolved: 'server/.../Organization.svc;sdkversion=71'. ---> System.Net.WebException: The underlying connection was closed: An unexpected error occurred on a send. ---> System.IO.IOException: The handshake failed due to an unexpected packet format.


I don't know why the outlook client is trying to connect to the https of the server... we have no https... is there any .config or registry to modify the Organization.svc website?

hide multiple fields in CRM using wildcard for fieldnames

Hello,

I want to hide several fields via an onchange event for a yes/no field on a CRM form.

The field names all have the same prefix so is there any way I can use a wildcard to set the visibility of all the fields based on their fieldname.

So instead of individually:

Xrm.Page.ui.controls.get("new_sg2_text1").setVisible(true);
Xrm.Page.ui.controls.get("new_sg2_text2").setVisible(true);
Xrm.Page.ui.controls.get("new_sg2_text3").setVisible(true);

I would like something like

Xrm.Page.ui.controls.get("new_sg2_%").setVisible(true);
