Error while importing package: The requested record was not found or you do not have sufficient permission to view it, in MS CRM Online

Hi,

I am using 1 year trial account of MS Dynamics CRM Online. I got following error suddently. 

Before 2 days, I was able to import same package in my account. Yesterday, I have created a new user. Now I am not able to import same package which I was able to import befoe 2 days even in admin user. However, if I try to import package with any monthly trial CRM account, it imports successfully.

I don't what settings changed when I have created new user. I don't think creating new user creates issue. I am not able to import package in any of user.

Error: The requested record was not found or you do not have sufficient permission to view it

Can anybody please suggest me?


Can only insert Full Name when creating email workflow. Only want First name. Advice appreciated.

Hi, 
I'm creating an email workflow that sends an email to a contact. The primary entity of the WF is based on a custom 'survey' entity, which is related to a custom 'booking' entity, which is then related to the OOTB 'Contact' entity.

So, using the form assistant, I can select the related 'booking' entity which is linked to the contact, but I can only see 'Contact', where I would have hoped to see Contact:First Name. 

Any advice on how I may do this. Using D365.

Link existing OneNote book to CRM accounts in Dynamics 365

We have recently implemented Dynamics in our business and we capture customer activities by tracking emails, appointments and OneNote notes - we have some large customers that are presented in our system with multiple accounts due to legal requirements and we have linked them together using hierarchy relationship. However, we want to consolidate sales activities centrally in OneNote for those customers using one OneNote book that is linked to all child accounts of the customer.

This seems not possible as I click OneNote icon, it creates a new OneNote book and we are ending up one OneNote book per child account. This becomes very messy to have a full view of customer activities. Is there a way we can influence this behaviour?

How to use Optionset type field in a process as input argument?

Hi all,

I have created a custom workflow in which I defined optionset type input argument. I have use below codes to define it in a custom workflow:

When I try to define it in my process as an dynamic value as shown below and save and close:

It  showed me an error as shown below:

after the above error I open my 'set property' window to see the error. It showed me the static value instead of dynamics one as shown below:

 

Is there any way to set dynamic optionset value? or I have to use this static value option ?

Rollup Field

Hello Experts,

Yesterday I used first time Rollup field in Dynamics 365 CRM, before I was aware about Rollup field as I have used in Salesforce since when Dynamics CRM dont have Rollup field.

Come to the question. I wondered Microsoft has many options in Rollup field which I didn't see in Salesforce Rollup field. We can schedule when this field will be updated. We can even change recurrence time to 1 hour min (but that not enough mostly we need immediate change). We have also option to do this field updated on demand(immediately) like we have seen in Salesforce there is on demand feature only but we don't need to write code for it. In Dynamics CRM, I got the code which can ask to calculate Rollup field immediately. I tried but my code is not producing result (Rollup field is not updated). Please see below my code. It is simple but not working.

It is not working in my Plugin which is fired on POST UPDATE. Can you help? See my code below:

Only one user getting : HTTP 400 Bad request

Hello Experts,

Need your help in troubleshooting this issue.

One of the Dynamic CRM 2015 (on-prem) user recently started getting HTTP 400 Bad request, whenever tries to open the website.

Please suggest troubleshooting steps for this issue.

When, I'm trying to publish solution in Dynamics 365 online, I'm getting the "Record Is Unavailable" message.

Any idea?

1. I already tried to delete my browser cash

2. Entities in solution don't contain multiple forms.

"After meeting notes " not showing in browser view

Hi,

I am using "Dynamics 365 online" . I can see "After meeting notes" from mobile and tablet but i cant see that from web view. I have googled about that and got answer like have to integrate Sharepoint server to enable that. but i dont have any sharepoint server. is there any option to enable "After meeting notes" in browser view?

Hi,

I am using Dynamics 365 & I have created a pie chart for showing sum of Revenue for a Category. Grouping is based on Category. The % values are shown in the Pie Chart.

However, I want to show the Dollar values of the Revenue for each Category in the Pie Chart

Please suggest resolution to above issue.

  • Franchise Level Account type needed.
    • Scenario to explain a “Franchise” Layer, needed within the Account Hierarchy:
      • An Organization has 16 Sites, with two brothers running it.
      • The brothers decide to Split the organization, with each brother now running 8 sites.

How to Fulfill salesorder using XRM Tooling

Hi,

I'm migrating data into Dynamics 365 (in O365)

I'm trying to Fulfill my imported Orders using XRM Tooling library. I'm using UpdateStateAndStatusForEntity method.

Unfortunately it generates the error:

This message can not be used to set the state of SalesOrder to Fulfilled.  In order to set state of SalesOrder to Fulfilled, use the FulfillSalesOrderRequest Request message instead.

But I cannot see how to create FulfillSalesOrderRequest as it seems it's part of CRM SDK library and not XRM library.

How to solve this?

Read permission issue.Even have read permission unable to see my custom grid on form.

Have a custom entity in that have one custom html grid.for this  form have read permission in commonrole. but form accessing but grid is missing. even when debugging it's not triggering.if i add read and write permission it is accessible but why it's not showing for read permission. anyone have idea on this please help on this.

Hii Everyone.

I have Querry regarding a Multiselection Option Selection in Dynamics CRM 365.

I just want to know how to make an Html page with multiple Selection and HTML field as Hobbies, and as the user clicks on hobbies a drop-down should be there and a user should be able to select multiple options.

As the user goes to next field all selected data should be displayed under Hobbies field.

I have to achieve with an HTML and JavaScript.

Hi all,

I need to modify the parameter ExecuteAsyncPerOrgMaxConnectionsPerServer to improve the performance for importing data in Dynamics 365.

Do I need to open an SR (Service Request) to Microsoft or using the powershell ?

I have a 365 Dynamics CRM Online.

Moreover, if i'd open a Service Request, do I have request to Microsoft to modify the ExecuteAsyncPerOrgMaxConnectionsPerServer  parameter for all the tenant or just for an instance of my CRM.

I have one instance for TEST and another one for Production.

Getting Error from Dynamics CRM 2013 to 2015 Upgrade

Hi,

I get the following error when upgrading on a new server.

CRM 2013 SP 1 Rollup 4 (6E.1.4.0145) SQL 12 Collation : Turkish_CI_AS

CRM 2015 (7.0.0.3543) SQL 12 Collation : Turkish_CI_AS

InnerException:

Microsoft.Crm.CrmException: Error installing sp with name=p_DeleteAttributeFromIndexById
Must declare the scalar variable "@indexId". ---> System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: Must declare the scalar variable "@indexId".

Any ideas on this issue ?

How to create downloaded file name dynamically in SSRS reports

Dear All,

i have Implemented the SSRS report using Fetch XML for the contact Entity.

Now i want to achieve this:

Suppose One of the Contact Record i have opened Whose ContactName is Contact-001 and when i click on the Run Report from the particular record form ( Contact-001) that SSRS report will run, Now when i export that report to the PDF format the PDF name will come as RDL Name instead of that i want to print Contact-001 as that PDF Name.

Please Suggest me on the same.

How we can create universal OAuth App

Hello,

I am working on developing an integration with Dynamics CRM and using OAuth for authentication. I have created a OAuth App in Azure and with that I am able to generate "access_token" which is required to access the APIs. I have developed and tested application with this and everything is working fine.

Now I am planning to move my app to beta in which other users could try my app out. I have hardcoded "client_id", "client_secret" and "redirect_URI" in my app. When people are trying to authenticate, the authorize URL getting formed something like this -

https://login.windows.net/common/oauth2/authorize?response_type=code&client_id=<MY_APPS_CLIENT_ID>&redirect_uri=<MY_APPS_REDIRECT_URI>&scope=user_impersonation&resource=<MY_CUSTOMERS_CRM_INSTANCE_URL>

Here MY_CUSTOMERS_CRM_INSTANCE_URL is something like https://XXXX.crm8.dynamics.com

with the above URL I am getting the code. I am using that code to do a POST call on https://login.windows.net/common/oauth2/token to generate the access token. The tokens calls is also working fine and I am getting the "access_toke", "refresh_token", "resource" in response. here the resource returned in response is MY_CUSTOMERS_INSTANCE_URI which they have entered while initiating authentication.

The problem I am facing is when I am trying to use this API to fetch the "Contacts" or "Accounts" from Customer's CRM instance. My API call is something like this -

https://XXXX.crm8.dynamics.com/api/data/v8.2/accounts/

and in headers I am passing

Authorization: Bearer <ACCESS_TOKEN_RECIEVED_IN_TOKENS_CALL_RESPONSE>

HTTP Error 401 - Unauthorized: Access is denied

All the calls made above are from a NODE_APPLICATION developed by me.

I have earlier worked on OAuth for other applications(e.g. Box.com) and there using the similar flow, I was able to make the API calls. Please suggest if anything I am missing.
