How to add Subject field to "Add Comment" in "Edit Case" form of Customer Self Service Portal?

Hi

I have a requirement to add Subject field to "Add Comment" modal popup in "Edit Case" form of customer self service portal. I tried to changing the "portal comment" form solution but that does not impact the modal popup form.

May I know how to configure or modify the "Add comment" modal popup please?


When adding a (new) date to a field, tab does not focus on time

Hi.

We are currently upgrading a CRM2013 instance to CRM2016/D365 (w/2.1) and noticed some strange changes in behavior.

In CRM2013, when creating a new record, a user could enter a date in date&time (initially empty) field, press tab then it would focus on the time field.

In CRM2016/D365 it jumps to the next field, and the time is defaulted to 08:00. Is this expected behavior? If the field already (date & time) has a value it works as expected, but not when it's initially empty/blank.

Also tested this on online and the same thing happens. (ie skips the time field on tab)

Any tips?

Dynamics 365 Row Height changed after enabling legacy form rendering

Hello,

I have Dynamics 365 on-premises, by default, the option legacy form rendering is disabled, the row height is normal (or the space between the rows), like this:

Field A  Field B

Field C  Field D

Field E  Field F

I would like to user editable grid, so I have enabled the option legacy form rendering, after that, the row height on the form increased, like this:

Field A  Field B

(white line space)

Field C  Field D

(white line space)

Field E  Field F

I have tried this on IE 11 and Chrome, the same problem.

Workflow Opportunity to new Task

Hi everyone,

I'm a new user of CRM and I think, my question is solved easy, but not yet for me.

I wanna set an automatic workflow and should do the following:

When a new opportunity is created, a new task should be created - including the follow-up as the date of the task.

I asked Google, but unfortunately I didn't get any answer.

I have been trying to find a way to send clients a customized automated birthday email, but i found out that i'm not able to do that out of the box. so I decided to compare the day and month of now by the day and month of birthday and if they are the same trigger the email. 

but I'm not able to extract the day or month or year from a specific field how to do that?

Window.Open is getting minimized/losing focus on click of 'Save' button in CRM.

Hi All,

We are facing an issue of Window.Open getting minimized/losing focus.

We are trying to open a 'aspx' page in window.open. PFB code snippet used:

myWindow = window.open(requiredServerUrl + "/MappingWeb/AddressPopup.aspx?update=0&address=" + address, 'Address popup', 'location=1,status=0,scrollbars=1,resizable=no,top=120,left=230,  width=900,height=520');

Dynamic CRM 2015 - Onpremise.

We tried to use myWindow.focus();

But even after adding the above line it is still losing the focus and the window is getting minimized. We are using Internet Explorer 11.

Any suggestions would be helpful.

Outlook Integration and Printing

Hi

We are using the outlook integration and on occasions have requirements to print emails out for certain requests etc.....  When we print the emails through outlook we get a field that shows called "crmsecondpage.xml" which includes a lot of code(!?!) in text that takes up half a page and looks a bit odd.

Does anyone else experience this and know if it is possible to remove this?

I tried to import a solution from the sandbox environment(CRM Online) to the production environment(CRM Online) then I keep getting this error I tried to deactivate the workflow but no luck still any help or recommendation will be appreciated.

Data Map to import to multiple entities

I have created a Data Map that allows data from 1 CSV to be imported into 2 entities. These are 2 custom entities - an entity that contains my main data and a lookup. The Data Map populates the lookup first so that the required related lookup data exists.

The problem I have is if a record in the csv file already has an entry that already exists in the lookup entity then the import fails for the main entity - the records are not imported due to a duplicate lookup reference found.

I have a duplicate detection rule set to prevent duplicate records being added to the lookup entity and this seems to be working as I do not have any duplicate records in the lookup entity.

However, it looks as if all the records are being imported into the lookup entity but before the duplicate detection rule is triggered CRM is then trying to import the data into the main entity before the 'duplicate' lookup record is deleted - hence failure due to a duplicate lookup reference being found.

Any help will be much appreciated.

Hi,

I am using decimal number field to enter the time in minutes:seconds. At the end we need to calculate total Duration. Below is the screenshot.

How to change the Total Duration to Time( ex: If it is 6.70 change it to 7.10(7minutes 10 seconds) )

Hi Guys,

I am migrating data from one crm organization to another CRM organization. I am facing issues in migrating mailbox records. when User is created in Source CRM it creates two mailboxes and i am trying to migrate these tow mailboxes to target CRM but i am getting error in migrating one of the mailbox from source to target, out of the two mailboxes created. the filure mailbox gives error saying "[Dynamics CRM Destination [305]] Error: An error occurred with the following error message: "System.Exception: Error(s) occurred when processing the batch: [1] [GUID of record] CRM service call returned an error: An e-mail address is a required field in case of forward mailbox.  (SSIS Integration Toolkit for Microsoft Dynamics 365, v8.1.0.6275 - DtsDebugHost, v12.0.2000.8)"

I have checked that the mailbox in source does not have IsForwardmailbox falg set true. But it gives me error. Can anybody with previous experience in data migration help me in this?

Adding 'supplier' information to the New case form

As an inside (or outside) sales rep who wants to open a new case within the “Customer Care/Cases” module of CRM, I should be able to select a supplier name from a drop-down box. The supplier name should be defaulted to “n/a”. I should be able to select from a pre-populated list of Supplier names or if I cannot find my supplier, I should be able to select “Other”.

Just like we can see Customer details

How can we achieve this as Customer field in inbuilt

Dynamics CRM 2013 SDK Import CSV

Hello

I am trying to import a csv file using hte CRM dynamics SDK 2013. I keep seeing examples of code using the import class as shown below

Import myimport = new Import();

or

 ImportFile importFile = new ImportFile();

however i cant seem to get these classes referenced. Were these introduced in later versions of the sdk? if yes is there another way to achieve the same effect. Essentially i wana take  a csv file and import it into dynamics using the sdk 2013. It would help if it can use an existing data map to make the import code shorter.
