Distirbuting Campaign Activity

Hi everyone,

we have experienced some trouble distributing campaigh activity (email) to marketing list members in CRM 2016 SP2.

We have created marketing list of contacts, and tried to distribute Email message (with Email Template) to all of them through Campaign, creating Campaign Activity.

After Campaign Activity was distributed, we have noticed that Emails were created and sent to Contact, who's owner is current user (who created an Campaign, and distributed Campaign Activity), all other Contacts from Marketing List were ignored. We've checked 'Allow Bulk-Email' flags, and all are set to 'Allow'.

Marketing List was created by the same user, who distributes a Campaign Activity, through Email Template was Individual, and not Organization Template (created by the same user).

Can somebody explain why this could happen?

Hello, 

One of my customer using CRM 4.0/2011 On-Prem. 

Looking to upgrade CRM to Dynamics 365 for sales(CRM) On-prem.

Less Customization done to CRM 4.0.

What is the best methodology to do that ? 

If any tool is present kindly, suggest the best one.

 Whenever user opens the CRM for Outlook Client he gets an error message, that some appointment can't be tracked. Altough he never clicked the track button.

Portal - Open New Case

Hi All, 

I have the default Customer Self Service portal installed and Im trying to configure the Open A New Case form.

The issue I am having is that an Authenticated User is able to select the Customer & Contact from another account & contact from the lookup modal.

How do I restrict or disable the ability for the user to select anything other than there own customer and contact record?

Don't fundamentally understand issue with business process flow

I have a working business process flow which has an APPROVAL and COMPLETE Stage.  I needed to put a condition between so that if the status of the record is not APPROVED, then the user cannot go to COMPLETE, so I inserted the condition.  Then I get an error.  I fundamentally don't understand this and feel like it's a bug.  The APPROVAL Stage has a Status field.  The CONDITION is If Status = APPROVED.  Why does this fail validation?  There is no "other" state.  If Status <> APPROVED, then there is not another stage; i.e., COMPLETE should not show.

Populate Team Owner

OK - I have (I think) got my head around Business Units and setting security accordingly.

I now need to display the owning team of a record in the Default view. I have tried showing both Business Unit (owning team) and Team Name (owning team) but neither populate. The record owner of the record in question is clearly a member of a team, so why isn't this displaying?

Hello,

I'm trying to call a custom workflow activity in which I call some function from Microsoft.SharePoint.Client I succeed to package all external dll download from nuget to a single dll in order to use the "Plugin registration tool"

When I launched my workflow I have the following error

and the error message:

Hello all

I have about 5 users on my current Dynamics CRM. Every once in a while we get a massive file 'freak out' where a ton of our files are assigned tasks or duplicated or edited. But it only happens when no one is actually working, like over the weekend. Previously we thought this was some kind of glitch from the outlook sync. We deactivated that sync and everything seemed to be fine. Until last friday. Everyone had left about 1 in the afternoon, then at about 3 pm there was a massive file change creating some duplicate tasks and owner ship changes and task makings. All from 1 user and all at the same time. We are talking hundreds of files being touched withing 5 minutes. No one access the system off site. What the hell is going on?

Any one else have something like that going on or ideas on what it is or how to stop it?

Identifying fields in a managed solution

Hi

I want to delete a managed solution but before I do, I need to check if there are any fields still being used so I can recreate them etc..  How can I check what fields are in a managed solution?

A customer of ours had some work done by a previous partner.  They installed a managed solution and did not provide the unmanaged solution.  The solution shows all fields as this was from before we could add individual fields.  Also, the partner set the publisher prefix as "New" which doesn't help.

I know that I will have to recreate some of the fields however I suspect (hope) some of the fields are form other solution which means I can ignore them.

case form customer lookup
