We use Dynamics 2013, on premises, with Outlook 2010. One user received "an error occurred promoting this item" only where the email address of the message doesn't match the contact. I have given the role permissions to activities and this fixed it a month ago. But the error occurred twice yesterday. Others in the same role do not have a problem. Today she was able to set the regarding on one but not the other email. She has rebooted and cleared the Outlook forms cache (there was nothing there). Any ideas? Thanks
