Importing Contacts to Marketing Lists via Excel

Does anyone have a workaround? Without the use of code or advanced find.

The scenario is this - we have lists that we buy and we wish to keep track of these per Contact. Quite often a Contact will be in multiple lists, which we received at different times.

When they are bulked imported the first time, that's fine - we can use Advanced find for "Contacts Created date Today" and add them to a Marketing List.

But if a year later we get another list and 100 of the Contacts already exist in CRM, we can't import them again, and we can't use Advanced Find because there's no "common criteria" for these 100 Contacts.

Adding an extra field, and exporting for re-import will work only once. So if a third lists comes in and it's got a few of the Contacts again, we still want to see what Lists they have been a part of but we can't easily add another 100 to a new Marketing List, unless we create ANOTHER extra field. Not to mention that exporting for re-import is quite tedious as we have over 10,000 Contacts (so an export will have to be done twice), vlookup an XML and then reimport.

Any options?

Thanks in advance,

C
