I am new to CRM and reporting in general. One of the forum members has been helping me design a Drill Through report for the CRM 2011 asset inventory database we have which is on premises.
So far we take a .rdl file extract using the report wizard and then modify this report offline (or on our local pc) using report builder 3.0.
I believe we need to use the Business Intelligence 2008 R2 to do this instead along with CRM report authoring extensions. Unfortunately, our machines are Windows XP Sp3 and I am not sure if there is a way to get the fetchXml tool (CRM report Authoring Extension) installed on it? I believe CRM report authoring requires Windows 7 and above, but I dont know if there is a workaround for it to be used in Win XP-SP3
