Our company has 27 stores, and each store's staff needs access to Dynamic CRM to create cases. Currently, we have decided to use device-based licensing as staff will need to access the platform on at least two devices per store.
I'm exploring the possibility of assigning a single device-based license to a single account and allowing multiple devices within the store to access Dynamic CRM using that shared account. For instance, if we assign the license to "Store 1", the staff at that store could access the platform using the shared login details for "Store 1" on multiple devices within the store.
As we are still in the implementation phase, with a planned go-live later this year, the licensing cost has exceeded our budget. We are trying to find ways to reduce the cost while still following Microsoft's licensing rules.
Is it within Microsoft licensing rules to use a shared account to access Dynamics CRM on multiple devices if the shared account has a device based license?
