I have a client which has over 4,600 duplicate contacts in CRM (over 12,000 contact records in all). I believe the problem is occurring from the Outlook Sync process. 2 Questions:
1. How can I bulk delete the duplicate contacts, keeping only 1 surviving contact record for each duplicate found? I have used the duplicate detection rules and jobs, but there are way too many to do this piecemeal.
2. How can I determine if the Outlook sync is the cause, and what to do to correct this if it is?
