How to automatically resolve emails in the 'from' field?

When a contact is created in Dynamics365 after a tracked email already exists in the system with the same email address, the email does not resolve the 'from' field to link to the contact record.

Is there a way to automate this process?

Presumably it would just involve the same logical process that runs when a new email is received from an email address that belongs to an existing contact. In this instance the 'from' field resolves and links to the contact upon receipt.
