Do you have to use an Administrator account to use the CRM 2011 SDK API in a service or IIS application (Server side code to CRM services)

We plan to implement a simple server side lead capture page that will authentic using a Windows ID (Windows live to CRM 2011 online - MSFT hosted). I assumed that you could use any account as long as it can authenticate and created a lead record. It will have a single function, create a new CRM lead record. I am being told that I have to use the Administrators account, and I assume that is just not correct. Am I incorrect?
