Level Up - Chrome extension - data protection

Hi all, 

Any tips for how can I convince our data protection officer that it is safe to use the level up extension in my chrome browser?

The permissions you have to grant it on installation are far too broad for comfort.

I know it's a legitimate app, but how can I prove it?
