Report Durations of Key Events & Stages in Dynamics CRM
Above is the guide i have attempted to follow, we are trying to measure the time it takes to complete each pipeline phase within an opportunity, the guide has been great thus far but i have hit an obstacle which is unclear within the guidance provided. Any help would be appreciated!
I have successfully managed to complete up to the point of creating Workflow A without any issues, the workflow has been created, the issue however i being able to prevent duplicated being created, the following comment is made within the post;
"Now Workflow A that will create a New Stage History Record every time your pass a milestone in your pipeline, as mentioned before you can use the a Stage Attribute or Business process Flow Stage, and add Field Change triggers on the Workflow for the Attributes that store your Key Events. However we need to prevent the Stage Value from being updated if it is already the same value, as this may cause duplicate Stage History records to be created. So you will need to add check conditions in the beginning of the workflow to prevent this from occurring."
My question is this: what criteria can we use as a check condition to ensure that the process isn't being duplicated?
