marketing list based on sales

Hi Folks

I would like to make a marketing list based on sales items or sales item classes.  The sales data is sitting over in Great Plains Dynamics however.

The customer account ID's are the same in CRM and GP.  Can CRM reach over to GP and get / read the sales data in order to build the marketing list?
