CRM encryption queries

Hi,

I am investigating adding a CRM encryption key to our CRM server so we can use the email features but I can't seem to find an answer to the question I have.

If something goes wrong with the organization and I need to re-deploy from a restore. Am I able to use the same encryption key so I don't have to re-configure all the email settings?
