Ok,
So the issue..
Well there are two different domains, one of which was a company they took over, the original CRM system was a 2013 version, which has been updated over the years.. Currently running 2015. The company wants to migrate the entire infrastructure to our actual domain rather than using trusts, etc.. the company that was purchased was a company that we more or less owned anyway, so all the users in house originally are the same on both sides of the fence.. lets call it badidea.com and current.com.. The Badidea.com is where the CRM currently sits, I have reinstalled things now about 9 times over the past few weeks, and i have found i run into the same issue over and over again. While i can export the DB from the other system..
1. I can't import it into a new Dynamics Database, and retain the users..
2. I can install a copy of Dynamics 365, but can't get WAP to work correctly.. I suspect this is due to all the DNS issues.. Since the Wildcard certificate on the other network, is the same as what they want to use on the new setup..
Issues with this include.. Auth, Dev, Name, and enterpriseregistration all exist already.. and i am not permitted to kill the firewall connections to just run them on two different sides of a fence..
I renamed them Auth5.Current.com Dev5.Current.com InternalCRM5.Current.com Enterpriseregistration5.current.com
The issues are..
1. How do i change the Enterpriseregistration name?
2. why doesn't my Web Application Proxy work? (No errors)
3. Why does access work from inside my network but not outside?
Setup:
1. SQL 2014 server standalone (2012R2)
2. CRM server stand alone (2012R2)
3. ADFS Server stand alone (2012r2)
4. Web Application proxy stand alone (2012r2)
All servers run static IP, on a 2008 Forest level, and 2012R2 domain level.. All servers are completely up to date..
My firewall has the public natted to the private on the WAP server, and it has 443, 135, and 80 open on the natted address..
Can anyone point me in a direction before i just say F'it and tell them to deal with it?
