I have a drop-down list with 5 options on the Account entity. When I choose one of the 5 options, I want the option that is chosen to automatically be updated on the Lead entity. On the Lead entity I have a drop-down list with same options that are on the Account entity.
I can get this to work via a workflow in the following cases:
1. Creating a new lead brings the value to the drop-down from the Account entity.
2. Editing an existing lead so that I replace the Existing Account with some new value and the re-populate it with the original value.
However I can't get this to work automatically so that populating a new value on Account would automatically populate that value on Lead.
Suggestions? I have tried making the options sets global but this changes nothing.
