Problems after dynamics crm upgrade

Hi l can anyone help. We have been through the dynamics upgrade and are experiencing a number of issues primarily:-

  1. All previous history (calls and emails) have gone from the records we have already had contact with
  2. To make a phone call seems to have gone from straight forward to very complicated (i.e. create in a new screen with no information pulled through so we have to input loads of repeat information blind as the call logging screen kills off the original record

is this common to all users and who do we contact to get a resolution
