I'm getting an error when (trying to) opening a file through an i-frame in CRM4.0.
We are using Dynamics CRM 4.0 in Outlook.. We have an i-frame that displays a SharePoint page (SharePoint Services 3.0). And on this SharePoint page we have various Excel files (dynamic reports linked to CRM).
I now have an issue with one user (not all) who is no longer able to open the Excel file via the CRM i-frame. The i-frame loads okay, the Excel files are visible, but as soon as he clicks on them, an error message appears saying that Outlook needs to close. When he opens a local version of the Excel file or opens it directly from SharePoint it works fine (so I believe there are no issues with either Excel or SharePoint). (This 'one user' is a director, hence I'm keen to fix it!)
This error started occuring since migrating from Windows XP to Windows 7... however, not all Windows 7 users are having this issue. Just the one guy. Previously it all worked totally fine. I have tried disabling/enabling the user; I have re-run the configuration wizard, but neither solved it.
Would anyone have any suggestions on what the issue might be? With the problem occuring so inconsistently I'm a little at a loss. In terms of install / security settings etcetera... we are a large company and all installs and configs are meticulously handled by IT, so there shouldn't be any discrepancies in that regard.
