I have created roll-up fields on the Account: 1. to source info from related Opportunities, 2. to source info from a custom entity (referential type of behavior). The data on the Opportunities and on the custom entity is pushed from a third party system daily. The problem that I've faced is that the roll-up field wouldn't roll up the related data, even by manually clicking the refresh button next to it. Any ideas why?
The only solution that I've found, but it is not acceptable of course, is for a user to manually open each related opportunity record (and custom entity records) and then to either wait until the roll-up fields get updated automatically, or go back to the Account and press the refresh button. Then the data gets rolled up.
Please share ideas on how this can be fixed.
P.S. In case this will matter, on the Opportunities and on the custom entity I have date fields that get updated daily by a workflow based on on current system date. So the records are updated daily, but this still wouldn't pull the data.
