We are rolling Dynamics and are struggling to get some seemingly basic functionality working. Our main use case is taking notes on Contacts/Accounts and sharing this information with people in the organization.
Users will create notes and tasks for Customers/Accounts. We would then like to view the rolled-up information for an Account, including activity related to Contacts. A user can create a note for a Contact or Account, but the Account "What's New" screen does not show notes. Navigating to the Notes section just shows notes for the Account, not the Contact notes.
There is also confusion regarding the difference between Notes and 'wall' posts. What's the difference??
Once we figure out a way to get a proper overview of an Account, we would like this Account information roll up to the parent Account so users can easily see the notes/activities/contacts of the sub-accounts. Again, this does not seem to be an out-of-the-box feature. Why not, and what would it take to implement?
I have installed PowerOneView which may provide the functionality but it has caused Firefox to crash several times so I'm still trying to properly evaluate it.
Any tips?
