I am new to MS Dynamics and have what should be a simple question, but I am not so naïve as to believe it really will be ;)
My task seems simple...get the number of current contacts in my dbase and report that number on an HTML page in my website.
I can see a report already created that gives me the number I need, and I can see how to export that report in XML, Excel or any number of formats, but what I would really like is some sort of automated process of snippet of code that will 'read' that number automatically and populate that line on the webpage without my having to manually run a report and type in a number every day.
Is there some sort of plug-in or product, some tutorial, or something that can help me figure out what I need to do?
I used to be run the databases and website for a university, but those databases were on our own SQL servers and I was able to just use PHP and MySQL to run queries and feed my site. This is a different animal entirely and I could use some help.
