Recently we upgraded from CRM 4.0 to CRM 2011 (we're late to every party) and we used a third-party company to do the installation. When they installed the software, they used their own media which, it turns out, had only a trial license key. We were told at the time we could just switch to thelicense key on our volume licensing agreement to make it official. Well, it turns out that the VLA version doesn't need r have a key, so we're a bit stuck now. My question is: can I just re-run the installation of the main CRM server component using our VLA package or do I have to start completely from scratch?
Is there a guide out there somewhere that will tell me what steps to take to do the reinstallation?
