Is it possible to use the CRM 2016 tablet application without exposing CRM to the public Internet. Everything points at an IFD being a requirement to use the app. We would like to use the app, worst case we could browse direct to CRM, but Ideally only within the confines of the WAN - is it necessary to expose CRM to the public Internet, or can you add ADFS etc and simply point the App at the CRM solution within the WAN ? Our users won't be roaming and will be using our Wi-Fi on our premises so no requirement to access via a public facing URL.
The documentation is very clear about how to implement ADFS and enable CRM for IFD, but its hard to extract a simple high level picture of on the ground deployment.
Any advice from anyone who has implemented the tablet would be extremely welcome..
