Assuming this is a pretty common scenario for many here. I want to restrict CRM from creating an opportunity when a lead is converted to An account. Right now I am using status Reason 'Account Created' for Status code 'Qualify' but as soon as I click on Account created under 'Qualify' CRM creates an Accounts and Takes me to New Opportunity Page.
Is there any way to restrict CRM from either creating an Opportunity or Not taking the end user to Opportunity form. Is there any way to do it using customization only? I am afraid, I can't code yet.
our business process scenario is as following:
Create Lead > Contact Lead > Lead Submits an Application > If Application approved, Lead gets created an Account for it in our ERP > Once it has got ID, We assign that ID to lead in CRM and change the status of Lead to 'Account Created > A new Account exist for that lead but we also report on leads that were converted into Account.
