We are running CRM2013 SP1.
As I understand it, the process to remove Fields from a Managed solution involves making a copy of "Solution A", name it "Solution B". Ensure that Solution B contains ALL elements from Solution A with the exception of the fields you want to remove.
I believe I have Solution B created appropriately and Imported into my UAT environment. My issue occurs while trying to delete Solution A.
Somehow in UAT I have a managed field named "Community" on a custom activity entity. It appears to be some system generated field. Not sure how this happened, but this field does not exist in my Dev environment where all of my solutions are originally built. Since this field isn't in Dev, I cannot include it in my Solution B that I import as the placeholder solution. When I try to delete Solution A, it tries to delete this managed field which throws an error that prevents me from removing Solution A.
Any ideas about how I can move forward?
