Check if a dialog has been run on a record

Hi,

I have a dialog that should be run on every new case. What's the best way to manage this? Here are a few ideas I had but I'm not sure which is the best...

1. Is it possible to automatically run the dialog once the record (case) is created? I believe this would require JS.

2. Is there a way to view which cases have or have not had the dialog run yet? 

3. I could have the dialog update a custom field to indicate that it has run on that record?
