I'm curious about the way that backup/restore works for CRM, specifically for critical user error. My understanding is that Microsoft performs nightly backups and that if a restore is required, a ticket would need to be raised and Microsoft can revert the environment to the last nightly backup.
This site: http://www.xrm.com/crmonline/FAQ/Microsoft-Dynamics-CRM-Online-FAQ.aspx notes some disclaimers to that, namely:
Microsoft cannot perform a restore if any of the following administrative changes have been made since the most recent nightly backup:
• The number of user licenses is changed
• the amount of storage is changed
• a new user accepts an invitation
• or the yearly subscription is renewed.
My customer would be making changes like this on a fairly regular basis. Does this mean that if any of the 4 bulleted changes are made, they would no longer have any good backups until the next nightly occurred?
