If I type an account name or contact name into the search, any matching records are returned. I have a custom field that I would like to be searchable so I followed these steps:
- Created the field and added it to the form
- Made sure that the searchable checkbox was checked
- Added the field to the Accounts quick find view (as per this guide: https://community.dynamics.com/crm/b/dynamics_universitycrm/archive/2012/09/25/setting-the-quick-find-search-criteria-in-crm-2011)
- Published the customisations
Now, one would have thought that entering a known value of the custom field into the search box, any matching results would be returned. Unfortunately, this is not the case.
I tried adding the address1_postalcode field to the quick find to see if the issue is related to custom fields. Entering a known post code also doesn't work.
What am I missing!??
