Hi all,
I'm hoping that you many experienced and CRM brainiacs can help resolve my problem. I recently upgraded to Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2015 for Microsoft Office Outlook, however, after the install it asks me to sign in, which I duly do, the sign in box just goes white and another box pops up telling me that it will take about 10 minutes to sync. Alas, it takes considerably longer than this, I’ve left it running for over 3hrs and still nothing. If I close the first box by clicking on the red cross it gives it tells me that it has finished syncing and CRM is ready to use. However when I do try to use it I get the message that CRM failed to load.
Background of problem
OK, when the release of 2015 came out, I didn’t exactly use the most conventional way of upgrading it (and this could be the root of the problem). When I tried to install 2015 it told me that my version (2011) was too old and I would need to upgrade to a newer version prior to this one. I then upgraded to 2013 and then straight to 2015 (without opening outlook, which maybe I should have done between upgrades) I also probably should have just uninstalled the 2011 and done a clean install of the 2015. Oh the true value of hindsight!
So, once I finally got 2015 installed, it gave me the problem as mentioned above, it was at this point I realised I should have done the uninstall and install. I then tried to uninstall the program and it gets to about the last 99% and just sits there, I’ve even left it running over night to see if it finishes and it is still sat there when I come back.
Has anyone else come across this problem, or know how I can fix my CRM, I even tried to restore it to a point before the install but it won’t let me, says there is a file running that prevents it from restoring. I only use MS Essentials and have no virus software installed, I have tried to restore it in safe mode but still no joy.
Would be great to find a solution as I am without CRM, I can use the web one, but the outlook one is preferable.
Many thanks for any help.
Regards
Nick
