Unable to map users in Organization import

Hey again, I figure you guys are getting sick of me, but I'm losing hair over this.

Using this post as a reference: ( I actually have CRM 2011, but it's close enough)

https://community.dynamics.com/crm/b/crminogic/archive/2010/05/10/to-resolved-import-organization-user-mapping-error.aspx#.Ua5WDUC1G2U

I can get everything set up all the way to the screen where it gives me the options to map users. If I try to let it auto-map users it will go straight to the 'Please wait..." and never go any further. If I try to select manually select users it does the same thing. Using "Auto-map users" and then selecting "Microsoft dynamics CRM full name to Active Directory full name" it goes to the screen where I am supposed to be able to manually enter a user (the very last image in the above link). However i cannot enter anything into any of the boxes and it doesn't let me go any further.

I don't get any errors, it just doesn't find anything or let me enter anything. I can create a new Organization, but then it fails something during the install and after that if you try to work with the Organization entry, it crashes out the Deployment Manager.

I had thought I had all the Active Directory stuff set up correctly, but I guess not. Does anyone know of a fix for this? It's the only issue I have left in a week of trying to set up CRM 2011 on Server 2012 with SQL Server 2012.
