The e-mail router in CRM 2011 is configured to use email Exchange (2003) server and user specified credentials for incoming mail. This configuration requires users to provide their credentials for email.
Whenever users are required to change passwords due to domain security policy, CRM 2011 fails to access their mail box because it doesn't sync the password change from AD to the CRM 2011 user's e-mail credentials (located on the CRM Web Client under File, Options, E-mail tab).
Do we really have to manually go into CRM and change the password for the user's e-mail credentials every time a user's AD password changes?
Below is the error displayed by the email router configuration when testing user's access before updating the password to match the new password for the AD user:
Name: <User Name>
Incoming Status: Failure - The credentials to access the mailbox to send and receive e-mail are not specified in the Microsoft Dynamics CRM user record for the user: <user email address>
After changing the user's password in CRM to match the newly change AD password, then the Test Access works successfully in CRM E-mail Router Configuration Manager.
Any ideas how to sync AD user password change back to CRM?
